• Sydney Region - Roaming Crew (comes with a travel allowance).

Total Earth Care has been engaged to provide professional services to implement a plan which will be aiming to protect, monitor, conserve and increase the number of threatened species and vegetation communities within Sydney Trains properties such as Acacia pubescens, Melaleuca biconvexa, Flying Foxes, Blue Gum High Forest, Cumberland Plain Woodlands, and many more.

Team Leaders Wanted:

Total Earth Care is currently recruiting for Team Leaders who's role will include all aspects of on-ground ecological restoration. The candidate will be expected to travel within the entire Sydney Region or as per the specific role's region. The Team Leader is responsible for the day-to-day management, direction, and supervision of their crew and the ongoing management of their regeneration sites under their control. The successful candidate will be required to understand and apply best practice bush regeneration techniques, display good interpersonal and communication skills, and have a clear understanding of contractual obligations and project scope. They will also be required to keep all site records, write periodic reports, and monitor contract obligations and deliverables. The candidate will also be required to liaise with clients and manage sub-contractors and suppliers. Importantly the candidate will be required to: use equipment for large-scale planting projects, install irrigation systems, use a chainsaw, spray apparatus, drive a 4wd, and work in remote areas.

Skills and Experience

• Trained - a minimum of 2 years' experience as a TEAM LEADER in the Ecological Restoration, Bush Regeneration or related industries.
• Excellent Bush Regeneration skills.
• High focus on accuracy and quality.
• Problem resolution skills and adaptability.
• Deadline and detail orientated.
• Effective leadership and people management skills.
• Industry knowledge (incl. WHS, First Aid, EEO).
• Must be physically fit.

Qualification/Licences

Essential:

• Certificate II in Conservation and Land Management or equivalent.
• Chemical handlers certificate (AQF3).
• Current First Aid Certificate.
• WH&S white card.
• Excellent plant knowledge.
• Current drivers licence.
• Strong skills in Microsoft Excel and Word.

Desirable:

• Degree/Diploma in the environmental-related discipline.
• Chainsaw training and experience.
