The role:

Due to rapid growth, we are recruiting across the Heritage Space. We are looking for multiple Consultants to focus on the Aboriginal Heritage space and undertake technical project-based fieldwork, supporting our clients in meeting the government and industry requirements. Consulting work involves both Aboriginal historic heritage conservation planning.


  • Conduct field surveys and significance assessments - assessing impacts of proposals.
  • Fieldwork involves excavations and sub surface testing.
  • Prepare reports and briefing materials.
  • Build relationships with government agencies, aboriginal communities, landowners etc.
  • Participate in tender process i.e., design, submission, and review.
  • Administer projects in accordance with NGH’s management systems.  
  • Responsible for your project deadlines and budgets.
  • Apply critical thinking to identify and provide practical solutions for your projects.

About you

We are looking for a talented and ethical go-getter who has gained extensive experience in Aboriginal Heritage.

  • Tertiary Qualifications in relevant field.
  • Previous experience building relationships with government agencies, aboriginal communities, landowners etc.
  • Knowledge of NSW legislation and relevant codes and guidelines.
  • Experienced field recorder.
  • Old building expertise and conservation planning experience.
  • Consulting experience working in diverse landscapes and engaging with regional communities. 
  • Project management, planning, and resource management skills. 
  • Strong leadership and motivational ability. 
  • Problem-solving aptitude.
  • Quality driven.
