We are seeking an experienced spatial systems specialist to join our team. The full time, fixed term position, will be responsible for the development and refinement of spatial systems for use by ELA consultants, including development of centralised corporate spatial databases; refinement of ArcGIS online presence; review of GIS application deployment; development and refinement of internal tools, process and procedures to aid appropriate utilisation and efficiency; and establishment of administrative and maintenance procedures.

You will have:

  • Direct experience in the development, refinement and deployment of spatial systems
  • High level of knowledge and experience with the ArcGIS platform and related systems including web mapping applications, cloud and server architecture and managing data security
  • Experience with Enterprise / ArcGIS Server or other spatial databases
  • Demonstrated ability in developing and refining spatial tools and systems
  • Coding and scripting ability
  • Experience with documenting processes, procedures as well as business cases, administrative documents and maintenance guides
  • High level verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to build and nurture internal and external relationships
  • Strong attention to detail, with a keen desire and capability to deliver supported by your innovative, proactive and well organised work style.
  • Proficient time management and multi-tasking skills including prioritisation across simultaneous projects with competing deadlines
  • Efficient problem-solving skills and ability to work independently when required.

It’s also desirable that you have:

  • Tertiary qualifications in GIS or a related field or equivalent experience
  • Experience in change management, as it relates to deployment of spatial systems
  • Knowledge or experience with other GIS platforms
  • Experience with sharepoint or similar platforms
  • Experience in or knowledge of environmental consultancy
