This regional Anthropologist position will be responsible for the effective conduct of anthropological research consistent with relevant legislation and CLC’s policies, procedures, current priorities and needs.

You will be required to have tertiary qualifications in anthropology or related discipline, have demonstrated knowledge and understanding of Aboriginal society and culture and an understanding of relevant issues in contemporary Australia.

Knowledge of and experience in, operation of the Aboriginal Land Rights (NT) Act 1976, Native Title Act 1993 or comparable land rights legislation is a desirable criteria for the position.

An ochre card (working with vulnerable people check) and a driver’s licence are mandatory requirements for this position.

Total effective package includes: base salary, district allowance, superannuation, leave loading, relocation assistance, annual airfare allowance and salary packaging options. Annual progression within the salary scale is subject to satisfactory performance. Progression is in accordance with annual increments set out in an enterprise agreement.
