About us

Environmental Weed Control & Revegetation has been in operation since 1999 specializing in providing quality bush regeneration and revegetation services. Our objective is to provide these services with an ethical and holistic outlook that aids in the conservation, enhancement and promotion of South Australia’s indigenous flora and associated fauna.

Opportunities are available for new bush regeneration officers to join our small team on a casual basis.  A full-time casual position is open for the right person. Works are undertaken across the Mount Lofty Ranges ranging from the Fleurieu Peninsula to the Northern Mount Lofty Ranges.

About you

You must be a motivated conservationist with a strong interest in South Australia’s indigenous flora, feel comfortable working in the elements across a range of different and sometimes challenging terrains and be physically fit.

You are a flexible and cooperative team leader but also have the ability to work independently when needed with good time management and communication skills.  You will have an emphasis on ensuring responsibility for your own safety in the field.

Essential Criteria

To be considered for this position candidates must possess:

  • Certificate in Conservation and Land Management or equivalent on-ground experience in minimal disturbance bush regeneration.
  • Experience in spot spraying in native vegetation.
  • Have a good eye for detail.
  • Proficient in chainsaw use.
  • Be physically fit and able to work in the elements.
  • Good plant identification skills, including weeds and native species.
  • Hold a current drivers license, have reliable car transport and able to drive a manual car.
  • Willingness to travel.
  • Computer literacy.
  • Good communication skills

Desirable Criteria:

  • Trees for Life member
  • First Aid Certificate
  • Current Workzone Traffic Management Certificate
  • Chainsaw Certificate
  • Abseiling experience
  • Experience in GPS use
  • Mapping program experience
  • 4WD experience
