Play a leading role in the strategic planning and management of Water Resources and bridges for the City.

The principal role of the Asset Planner is to undertake the asset management requirements for the portfolios as required of water resource and bridges assets. This includes the development of plans strategies and techniques for the timely and cost effective provision of water resource and bridge assets including addressing the Level of Service, Water Sensitive Urban Design and Water Quality aspects of these asset classes.

Role responsibilities include:

  • Establishing clear and cost effective methods for the provision, maintenance and replacement of infrastructure
  • Playing a leading role in the strategic planning and management of Water Resources and bridges for the City taking into account current and future needs
  • Reviewing and responding to development planning needs for the categories
  • Partnering in the delivery of a targeted 3-5 year Infrastructure Assets Program
  • Providing advice to Council Elected Members, Council staff, community members, government agencies and various customers or stakeholders.

Candidates who demonstrate experience in managing and creating Asset Management Plans with demonstrated understanding of Asset Management practices across a broad range of asset classes are encouraged to apply.
