Wise Water Ways workshop

28 October - 1 November 2019, Beechworth, Victoria

Now in its 21st year, Wise Water Ways is a unique practical workshop focussing on the management of rural and urban streams and riparian areas.

Held annually in North East Victoria, over 900 individuals from across Australia have completed the 5-day course which provides government staff, consultants, university students, and others with the opportunity to learn, discuss and debate with a wide range of Australian's top waterways researchers and managers.

Topics include the theory, practice and on-ground techniques of stream rehabilitation, stream assessment, stream ecology, catchment hydrology and geomorphology, stream channel management, water quality, environmental flows, fish habitat requirements, macroinvertebrate identification, riparian vegetation management and community engagement.

  • Our Keynote speaker this year is Dr Sarina Loo, Co-Executive Officer, Victorian Environmental Water Holder
  • Wise Water Ways 2019 will be held from 28 October - 1 November 2019 in Beechworth, North East Victoria.
