About the position
The Plant Operator C&PM is part of the Firebreak Management team within the Parks and Recreation branch. The team oversees three dam estates, a range of rural and urban parks, and several escarpment parks across the region. These areas support a range of recreational activities and hold significant conservation value, requiring tailored fire and biosecurity management while upholding community expectations, safety, and wellbeing.
The Plant Operator C&PM will undertake tasks to deliver the desired levels of service for fire management trails and control lines within the Toowoomba regional Bushland Parks and Dam Estate, including the maintenance of fire management assets. They may also be called upon to assist in other tasks and activities with other bushland park operations.
Plant Operators will work under general supervision.
