Are you passionate about the environment and eager to make a real impact? We're on the lookout for a Field Team Leader and Field Officer to join our Sarina-based field team and, play an active role in protecting and restoring our local beaches, waterways, and wildlife habitats.

Successful applicants will have a good work ethic, be physically fit and display good communication skills, punctuality and integrity. You have the ability to work effectively as part of a team and autonomously, show initiative where required, follow instructions and have a willingness and desire to improve your skills and knowledge.

You will have the opportunity to undertake accredited training and on-the-job learning in natural area restoration and plant identification. You will be part of a small, dynamic Landcare team and enjoy the benefits that come from working for a passionate, dedicated Landcare group, that is highly regarded within the community.

Key Duties & Responsibilities

• Carry out bushland restoration activities including site preparation, planting, watering, fertilising, mulching and maintenance.
• Undertake weed control using manual, mechanical, and chemical methods.
• Perform minor machinery repairs and general upkeep of equipment.
• Follow all Codes of Practice and Safe Operating Procedures, including toolbox talks, risk assessments, and record keeping.

Skills & Abilities

• Strong communication skills and a positive, can-do attitude.
• Experience in natural area restoration, revegetation, weed control, and plant identification.
• Confident in the use and maintenance of hand tools and field equipment.
• Certificate III in Conservation and Ecosystem Management, Horticulture or similar equivalent (or willingness to obtain).
• ACDC Licence (or willingness to obtain).
• Current driver's licence.
