The Role
This is a full-time position, five days per week.
As a Team Leader, you will lead a dedicated crew of bush regenerators and environmental practitioners. Your primary focus will be maintaining the health of regenerating bushland through high-standard restoration practices, strong team leadership and on-site mentoring.
Key Responsibilities
Team leadership
- Plan daily schedules, allocate tasks, manage workflows and mentor junior staff to ensure works are completed efficiently and to a high standard.
Ecological restoration
- Undertake and oversee weed control using manual, chemical and biological methods, identify invasive species and lead revegetation works.
Monitoring and assessment
- Carry out flora and fauna surveys to assess biodiversity values and monitor ecosystem health.
Safety and quality
- Ensure all WHS requirements are followed, undertake site inspections and complete essential documentation, including daily JSAs and reporting.
Stakeholder engagement
- Liaise with clients and stakeholders to maintain strong relationships, ensure satisfaction and uphold a professional company image.

Requirements and Qualifications
We are seeking a candidate with a minimum of five years’ experience in the conservation and land management industry, preferably in a senior or supervisory role.
Essential Skills
- Strong knowledge of Victorian ecological vegetation communities, including indigenous plant and weed identification
- Demonstrated experience in revegetation and weed control techniques
- Demonstrated knowledge of chemical use and application
- Strong communication, leadership and team management skills
- Ability to work autonomously, prioritise tasks and manage competing deadlines
- Moderate to high level of physical fitness
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, Outlook and Access
Mandatory Licences and Certifications
- Certificate III in Conservation and Ecosystem Management, Conservation and Land Management, or equivalent industry experience
- Current Victorian manual driver’s licence
- ChemCert or equivalent / ACUP
- Senior First Aid (Level 2)
- Construction Induction Card (White Card)
- Chainsaw - Operate and Maintain
- National Police Check and Working with Children Check, or willingness to obtain
