ABOUT PRCA
PRCA leads collaborative environmental work across the Pine Rivers Catchment; bringing together community groups, landholders, government and stakeholders to deliver projects that support a healthy and sustainable catchment environment.
THE ROLE
Reporting to the Board via the Chair, you will manage PRCA's day‑to‑day operations, supervise the Senior Project Officer and work closely with the Office and Finance Manager. You'll build strong relationships with landholders, contractors and community groups. This role is primarily office‑based with occasional site visits and out‑of‑hours work.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
Lead & Support People
- Manage staff and volunteers.
- Build a learning and development culture.
- Reinforce PRCA values and behaviours.
Drive Operations & Projects
- Implement project procurement and delivery strategies.
- Develop and refine operational and technical procedures.
- Oversee contracts, reporting, inductions and financial controls.
- Improve systems for data, quality and continuous improvement.
- Review policies and processes with a risk‑management focus.
- Develop and maintain quality assurance frameworks.
- Identify and pursue business development opportunities.
- Provide clear reports and advice to the Board.
Engage & Ensure Compliance
- Build strong relationships with stakeholders and funders.
- Liaise with media when required.
- Champion WHS and a zero‑harm culture.
- Manage and escalate service delivery issues as needed.
ABOUT YOU
- Relevant degree OR strong experience in NRM, environmental management, project or operations leadership.
- Strong leadership across people, operations, assets and finance.
- Experience improving operational efficiency and supporting sustainability.
- Proven contribution to strategic planning and organisational decision‑making.
- Excellent relationship‑building and communication skills.
- Understanding of NFP governance.
- Strong Microsoft Office and system skills.
- Able to manage competing priorities.
- Self‑motivated, proactive, reliable and values‑driven.
