Volunteer position

Join a two‑week conservation volunteer camp helping restore habitat for one of Australia's most threatened species, the Southern Greater Glider. The Creating Glideways project brings volunteers together to support practical on‑ground work in the beautiful Wombeyan Karst Conservation Reserve.

Participants will assist with activities such as habitat restoration, planting native species, supporting wildlife monitoring, and contributing to the recovery of a nationally endangered species. The experience includes opportunities to learn from local conservation leaders and explore the surrounding landscape, including the spectacular Wombeyan Caves.

This volunteer placement is well suited to people interested in conservation, land management, ecology, community volunteering, and gaining practical field experience. Volunteers should be comfortable working outdoors and participating in group activities.

Dates for this program are 17-31 May 2026.
