Box Hill Institute is seeking an inspiring Casual Teacher - Diploma of Conservation & Ecosystem Management to join our dynamic Horticulture & Land Sciences team within the Faculty of Creative, Business and Technology.
In this exciting position, you’ll have the opportunity to make a real impact - guiding students as they develop the skills, confidence, and knowledge to build meaningful careers in conservation and environmental management. Reporting to the Course Coordinator, you’ll deliver engaging, student‑centred learning experiences that bring industry practice to life.
You’ll design and teach high-quality course content that reflects current sector trends, meets compliance and quality standards, and supports each learner’s journey. Your expertise will help students unlock their potential and create pathways to rewarding futures in conservation and ecosystem management.

Salary range from 1 January 2026 aligns to the current MEA. L1 – L3 $90.07 - $97.31 per hour (dependent on qualifications & experience).
** Please refer to the attached sample Position Description Level 2 Teacher. The successful candidate will receive the appropriate Position Description/be classified at the appropriate Level as set out in the Victorian TAFE Teaching Staff Agreement 2024 (refer below descriptors), upon commencement with BHI.**
We will still consider candidates who do not hold a minimum Certificate IV TAE, provided you have relevant experience.

To be considered for this position, you must hold, or be willing to obtain, a Victorian Working with Children Check and National Police Check clearance.
