The NSW Biodiversity Conservation Trust (BCT), as part of the Department of Climate Change, Energy, the Environment and Water (DCCEEW), has an exciting opportunity for a Program Support Officer to join our South East team of fun, hard working people working from multiple locations across the South East Region.

About the role

As the Program Support Officer you will:

• Deliver high quality program support services to the workgroup including processing receipt of, acknowledgement of, and data entry of applications; collation and drafting of correspondence; formatting of program documentation; financial administration support in relation to payments; updating webpages and websites; receiving, sorting and prioritising incoming correspondence with a high level of accuracy.
• Implement systems that optimise efficiency, and effectively manage and maintain accurate program information including data entry, records management and reporting. Ensure information is stored in accordance with Open Government principles.
• Provide professional and timely logistical support to meetings, committees, working parties, workshops, information sessions and forums including inviting participants, arranging venues and audio-visual equipment, travel arrangements, collation of materials for presentation, circulation of agendas and minutes, and the taking of minutes during meetings.
• Develop and maintain cooperative and productive working relationships with key internal stakeholders and program customers to facilitate communication and information sharing and to direct enquiries.

About You

You have a flexible mindset and are able to problem solve as situations change. You are caring of your teammates. We're looking for a motivated Program Support Officer with experience in project coordination, business support, administration, and customer service. You'll excel at managing competing priorities, maintaining accurate records, preparing quality documentation, and supporting smooth program delivery. Strong problem‑solving skills, attention to detail, and confidence with financial administration are essential. Key knowledge and experience

• Experience in a project coordination or business support role, demonstrating administration and customer service skills.

The New South Wales Biodiversity Conservation Trust (BCT) is a not-for-profit statutory body, established under Part 10 of the Biodiversity Conservation Act 2016 and managed by a Board appointed by the Minister for the Environment.

The Trust's roles are to support and encourage landholders to enter into agreements to conserve and protect biodiversity on private land, guided by the government's Biodiversity Conservation Investment Strategy; secure biodiversity offsets when developers choose to pay into the Biodiversity Conservation Fund; and other activities that promote greater awareness of, appreciation and understanding of, biodiversity and the importance of conserving it.
