Bushworx is sourcing a highly motivated assistant manager to join our rapidly growing environmental team. Our environmentally passionate company strives for excellence in the field of Natural Area Restoration.
About the Role
The primary duties of the Assistant Manager:
- To manage, supervise, oversee and guide Team Leaders and Bush Regenerators ensuring tasks are completed efficiently and to a high standard
- Ensure works are completed to established targets and timeframes
- Train new employees and provide ongoing development for existing staff to improve skills and knowledge
- Daily documentation and reporting
- Troubleshoot and maintenance to plant and equipment
- Oversees and implement Workplace Health and Safety Procedures.
- Assists the Director with quotations, preparing tenders and liaising with clients
- Communicates and reports directly to the Director.
About the Successful Applicant
- Must have current Construction Safety Card (White Card)
- Must have manual C Class Licence
- Demonstrated experience in Bushland Regeneration/Horticulture or equivalent
- Demonstrated experience managing/supervising Bushland Management Teams or equivalent.
- Certificate IV in Conservation and Ecosystem Management/Horticulture or Environmental degree or equivalent.
- Demonstrated the ability to complete works to established targets and timeframes
- Demonstrated the ability to work autonomously or in a team environment
- Extensive knowledge in Southeast Queensland native and exotic plant identification
- Demonstrated excellent communication skills and the ability to delegate tasks.
- Demonstrated excellent time management skills
- Demonstrated the ability to follow, oversee and implement Workplace Health and Safety Policies and Procedures.
- Demonstrated sound administration skills including, computer/tablet skills, the use of Microsoft office suite, report writing and project planning and implementation.
- Current ACDC Licence
- Current Senior First Aid
- Chainsaw Certificate level 1 & 2
