The Minister for Lands, Planning and Environment is inviting expressions of interest from individuals who want to help shape the future of land use and infrastructure planning across the Northern Territory. 

Expressions of interest are being sought for the role of Chairperson, as well as up to five members of the Northern Territory Planning Commission.  

The Commission plays an important role in preparing long-term strategic plans that guide how land is used and developed, with a strong focus on creating sustainable, liveable communities across the Territory.  

The Commission provides independent advice to the Minister and engages with communities to guide the Territory’s long-term planning priorities. 

Individuals with skills, qualifications or experience in planning, environmental science, architecture, economics, social policy, infrastructure delivery, community development or related fields are encouraged to apply. A broad range of professional and community perspectives is essential to the Commission’s work, and diversity is strongly encouraged.
