Role overview

We are seeking a Senior Consultant to lead natural capital projects within our Natural Capital (Strategy) team. In this role, you will lead projects across a diverse range of natural capital frameworks, from biodiversity offsetting, nature based land use strategies, biodiversity and carbon projects. You will identify environmental market opportunities, support portfolio targeting for natural capital outcomes and value generation for our corporate, government and landholder clients.

In this role, you will

  • Lead and deliver offset strategies under the NSW Biodiversity Offsets Scheme.
  • Lead and deliver natural capital assessments and advisory projects (e.g. Accounting for Nature, Commonwealth Nature Repair Market, TNFD).
  • Support clients to understand, measure, and enhance their natural capital impacts and dependencies.
  • Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders across a range of sectors, including government, agriculture, infrastructure, and resources.
  • Prepare high-quality reports, proposals, and presentations.
  • Mentor and support junior team members.

What we’re looking for

  • Strong knowledge and experience in biodiversity offsetting, natural capital, ecosystem services, biodiversity, or environmental accounting.
  • Proven consulting experience with a strong client focus.
  • An experienced consultant with commercial links and passion for growing client relationships.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Presentation skills and experience are essential.
  • Relevant qualifications in environmental science, ecology, natural resource management, or related fields.
  • BAM accreditation is preferred, otherwise demonstrated detailed knowledge of the BAM.
  • A proactive, collaborative approach to work, with the ability to manage multiple projects.
  • Demonstrated experience conducting fieldwork and stakeholder consultation.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.
  • Full Australian working rights and a valid driver’s licence.
