Applications are invited from suitably qualified persons to join the Board of Directors of Southern Gulf NRM Ltd.

Southern Gulf NRM Ltd is a community based, NRM focussed company limited by guarantee.

We are the leader in natural resource management in the Southern Gulf region which includes all the land whose creeks and rivers run into the southern Gulf of Carpentaria, an area of around 215,000 square kilometres.

As per our Constitution, four of our directors’ terms will finish at the end of July 2025, and we are recruiting to fill these four positions. Current directors are eligible to reapply for these positions and the board reserves the right not to fill all four positions.

Applicants must have a range of skills including one or more of the following:

• Strong understanding of the natural resource management sector - particularly in the SGNRM region
• Understanding of current and emerging NRM issues relevant to the southern Gulf region
• Strong links with the local communities and the ability to engage with stakeholders
• Governance and strategic planning skills
• Financial and business acumen
