SERCUL is seeking a highly motivated person with considerable experience in Natural Resource Management, stakeholder engagement and project management.

The Sediment Coordinator will coordinate project development, planning, implementation, monitoring and reporting of the Sediment and Litter Control and Prevention Project (SLCPP). The SLCPP is one of 17 sub-projects within the $10 million Cleaning Up the Canning Project, funded by the Australian Government’s Urban Rivers and Catchments Program (URCP). The SLCPP sub-project will be delivered over three years and will involve partnerships with state and local government, land developers, construction site supervisors, builders and other relevant trades, industry groups, and the community.

The Sediment Coordinator will oversee the implementation of a program of activities that raise awareness about the impacts of sand and litter drift on nearby waterways and, through cross-industry partnerships, seek to showcase and embed into business systems, best practice sand and litter management during land use change. To do this the Sediment Coordinator will work closely with local government officers from the Cities of Armadale, Gosnells and Canning and the Town of Victoria Park, state government officers and other key stakeholders. The operational area is within the Canning, Southern and Wungong River Catchments.

The position requires well developed Natural Resource (Environmental) Management skills, high-level project management skills, high-level stakeholder collaboration and relationship building skills, and demonstrated analytical and problem-solving skills.

The position attracts a salary package including salary in the range of $87,700 – $105,200 per annum plus superannuation and access to a vehicle.
