Based in Geraldton, the Business Services Manager will develop and sustain key business processes to deliver best practice operating efficiency across the NACC NRM team.
As a member of the NACC NRM Senior Management Team, this role will contribute to and assist in developing the delivery of organisational strategic outcomes.
This role will work in collaboration with the whole NACC NRM team as well as with regional partners and stakeholders where required. This may include liaison with state and federal agencies to ensure organisational outcomes and legislative and contractual requirements are achieved. The role will focus on developing NACC NRM policies and systems, while also increasing staff skills, capacity, knowledge and engagement across the team. The role will also support internal analysis and compliance, with contribution to and development of organisational strategic planning.
The Business Services Manager will be required to use effective communication skills to implement changes which improve NACC NRM operational effectiveness and safety.
The Business Services Manager responsibilities include:
- Human Resources planning and delivery (recruitment, retention, professional development, workplace culture and compliance).
- Facilities Management - adopt and manage the Business Plan and work alongside CEO to ensure KPIs are met.
- Oversee the delivery of NACC NRM's Business Services functions including financial oversight and maintenance of policies and procedures to ensure legislative and regulatory compliance, achieved efficiently and in accordance with best practice.
- Support the NACC NRM team to deliver best practice community engagement in the context of delivering outcomes against the NACC NRM Strategic Plan.
- Ensure all actions are guided by NACC NRM's Purpose, Way and Impact as well as NACC NRM's organisational values and the regional NRM strategy, NARvis.
SELECTION CRITERIA
Essential
- Tertiary qualification in a relevant field and/or experience in a relevant role, demonstrating substantial knowledge and experience in business management, regulatory frameworks and relevant legislation.
- Well-developed skills and experience in business services functions and the ability to contribute to the development, implementation and monitoring of business plans.
- Well-developed human resource management skills, including the ability to develop and apply human resource management practices and systems in leading and managing staff.
- Excellent written, verbal and interpersonal skills and the ability to consult, collaborate, negotiate and communicate effectively and professionally and build effective relationships and networks.
- Commitment to and passion for NACC NRM's Purpose.
- Well-developed organisational, problem-solving and risk management skills and the ability to identify trends, issues and challenges, and generate strategies to address them.
Desirable
- A broad knowledge of financial management including long term financial planning, budget preparation, budget control; familiarity with relevant Australian Accounting Standards and ability to clearly articulate financial reports and issues.
- Experience providing support to a multi-disciplinary team working in a highly visible area requiring high quality results.
