Nitmiluk National Park is situated approximately 30 km north of Katherine within the Northern Territory. The Park is jointly managed with the Jawoyn people. The Nitmiluk Gorge attracts numerous visitors, keen to experience the wildlife, history, rock art and spectacular scenery. The word leading Jatbula trail, alongside other walks, mountain bikes and swim holes, such as the Leliyn plunge pool, equally attracts those looking for adventure.

As a Senior Park Ranger (T4) your core focus will be to Support the Chief District Ranger and District Manager to manage a team to develop and deliver land management, nature conservation and visitor activities and facilities management to support the delivery of targeted, high quality park management outcomes, and provide support for Aboriginal and other stakeholder partnerships.

It is essential you have demonstrated significant relevant experience in a field of technical work closely related to the duties of the vacancy, or a relevant qualification awarded by an Australian institution, or equivalent.  Well-developed communication skills and the ability interact positively with staff, visitors and volunteers is a key component of the job, together with a solid understanding of natural and cultural resource management.
