Colourwise Nursery is a leading wholesale production nursery, located at Peats Ridge, Central Coast, NSW.

We are currently looking for an experienced Nursery Production Manager who has a passion for horticulture and can work in a fast paced, team environment to produce high quality plants for our customers .

This position is part of the Management team at Colourwise and will work closely with the General Manager and Operations Manager to help grow and maintain crops for our broad customer base.

It is expected the candidate will have the ability to motivate and help a team of experienced nursery staff to produce premium quality plants and maintain current best nursery practices.  

Responsibilities will include

• Production planning 
• Maintaining accurate production records in the companies state of the art software system    
• Managing the production team who are responsible for potting, watering and maintenance of stock
• Quality control across 500 production lines 
• Ensuring weekly and monthly production targets are met
• Ensuring OH&S policies are adhered to 
• Managing costs on the production side of the business
• Ordering key production inputs and liaison with suppliers
• Managing wastage
• Maintaining a weed free nursery

The  individual will possess the following attributes  

• 5 years minimum in a supervisory/management capacity in a wholesale nursery 
• High level of fitness and capacity to work outdoors and preparedness to be hands-on 
• Formal qualification in horticulture
• Good communication skills, both written and verbal
• The ability to work in a team based environment
• Excellent work ethic and highly motivated with the ability to think for themselves.

Additional skills which are taken into consideration, however not essential

• Current forklift licence
• Current First Aid Certificate
• Chemcert certified
• HR Licence

An attractive remuneration will be negotiated according to experience.
