Environmental & Conservation Bush Regenerators - Gympie District Landcare Group

Join our motivated and cohesive team aiming to inspire and support environmental regeneration in the Gympie region, a locality where unique biospheres come together!

Gympie & District Landcare Group (GDLG) is currently seeking people who are passionate about enhancing ecosystems throughout our beautiful catchment, enjoy working outdoors, and are keen to collaborate with others to continue learning about and improving the environment.

Our Business:

GDLG is a community-based ‘profit for purpose’ organisation based in Gympie. In keeping with our purpose of regenerating environment through community engagement, our business is currently focused on three key business areas:

  • Environmental and conservation services for landowners and managers;
  • A first class regional native plant nursery;
  • Community education and fostering community-based environmental activities.

About the Role:

As a Bush Regenerator in our E&C department you will be part of a hardworking team specialising in environmental improvement and the encouragement of ecological succession, working on a wide array of projects and more.

Through our diverse spread of clients and partnerships throughout the region, the E&C projects have a healthy mix of revegetation plantings as well as assisted regeneration through various methods of weed control.

Our current projects include work in locations ranging from the beautiful dunes along Rainbow Beach, back to the dry rainforests encompassing our western ranges, to the Mary River and its many tributaries which hydrate our catchment.

At GDLG we are a collaborative team who continually work together to find the best approaches to bush regeneration and to enhance and improve our techniques to achieve the best possible results in each of the diverse ecosystems we work. Our teams are always exploring options to reduce herbicide application while still accomplishing the best possible results for our partners and clients.

We are a tight-knit, friendly and passionate team who value all opinions regarding natural area management and encourage all team members to have input on day-to-day decisions. At GDLG we also encourage and support staff for further studies and skill improvement as well as career progression.
