The Northern Territory Department of Lands, Planning and Environment is looking for an enthusiastic and experienced person to work within the Weed Management Branch as the Manager for the Katherine Region. The position, ideally based in Katherine, provides frontline technical and professional advice to industry, community and government bodies.

The successful applicant will provide expert advice to a diverse range of stakeholders whilst also having responsibilities to manage operational budget and personnel of the Katherine regional team. You will need to enjoy the outdoors and working in the Top End of the NT. Knowledge and experience of weed management principles, development of strategic management plans and advice will be crucial to this role. You will also have a drive for ensuring compliance with legislation to protect the Territory's economy, community, industry and environment from the adverse impacts of weeds. There is scope for the position to be Darwin-based with regular travel to Katherine and communities.
