Apunga Ecological Management are seeking Qualified Bush Regenerator field officers (2-5 days/week) and Advanced Team Members( 3 - 5 days a week) for casual positions (with possible future permanent position upgrades).

We are an inclusive, colourful crew of environmentally passionate humans, who are driven to work hard together to create positive change, whilst also being social, plant nerds looking to share knowledge and improve ourselves as well as the ecology we manage. We operate in National Parks and Council reserves all over greater Sydney including the Inner West, North Shore, Northern Beaches, Eastern Suburbs, Southern suburbs and Western suburbs.  

Opportunities for promotion to leadership/supervision positions for the right applicants.

Bush Regenerator Field Officer Applicants must:

  • Hold, or keen to learn (2024 commencement acceptable), a qualification in Certificate III Conservation and Land Management or higher (or have more than 2 years bush regeneration experience).
  • Have good plant ID skills or keen to learn.
  • Be passionate about environmental change.
  • Be dedicated to improving their skills and experience in bush regeneration.
  • Have a high level of physical fitness.
  • Be able to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Be punctual and reliable.

Other desirable criteria:

  • Own vehicle and willingness to travel within Greater Sydney.
  • Prior bush regeneration field officer experience.
  • Other related qualifications such as White Card, Chem Cert, Chainsaw, Rope Access, First Aid.

Bush Regenerator Advanced Team Member / Supervisor Applicants must:

  • Hold a qualification in Certificate III Conservation and Land Management (with 2 years on-ground experience) or higher, or have more than 5 years bush regeneration experience.
  • Have excellent plant ID skills.
  • Be passionate about environmental change.
  • Possess excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Be dedicated to improving their skills and experience in bush regeneration.
  • Maintains professionalism and tact under pressure.
  • Have a high level of physical fitness.
  • Be able to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Be punctual and reliable.
