Western Plains Flora is a leading wholesale tubestock production nursery that specialises in local flora for revegetation works in grasslands, grassy woodlands and other EVC's. We produce approximately 80% of our stock in forestry tubes and the balance (wildflowers and grasses) in cells.

We are located in a rural setting in Wildwood, 9 km North of Melbourne Airport.

We grow a wide range of indigenous species to a high standard to service the needs of many clients in the North/West of Melbourne. Our specialty is grasslands, including many rare and endangered species.

We have a full-time position available for someone who has a keen interest in the Australian Flora. You will be joining an enthusiastic team to assist in all aspect of plant nursery production.

The position will involve a range of duties including stock management, order picking and stock movement but plant production is the key role. May also include some plant deliveries.

Important Selection Criteria

• Experience in plant production and management (2-3 years commercial production nursery). Qualifications (Hort certificate 3 or 4 or equivalent) will be highly regarding but are not essential.
• Accuracy in record keeping and attention to details.
• Team player.
• Good interpersonal skills.
• Good work ethics, fit and healthy with reliable transport (there is no public transport in Wildwood).
