The Site Interpreter undertakes interpretive guided tours for the general public, educational institutions and tour groups. The role also includes some site management functions such as bookings, accommodation and visitor precinct servicing and grounds keeping tasks.

Excellent customer service skills and the ability to present information with an artistic flair is essential as part of the role. A willingness to work school holidays and weekends is a must.
