EcoResolve is an environmental consulting organisation based in the the CBD/Honeysuckle Harbour precinct of Newcastle, NSW.

We are seeking a skilled Field Ecologist/Ecologist/GIS Analyst, who has a degree/post-graduate qualification in environmental science, botany, zoology or environmental science, to join our dynamic, growing team!

The ideal candidate will have experience in undertaking ecological surveys, flora and/or fauna identification, GIS and electronic data capture, and a demonstrated passion for environmental conservation. Prior experience or knowledge of NSW Plant Community Types will also be highly regarded.

Your role will be to assist with flora/fauna and ecological surveys and reporting for a diverse range of projects. You will assist in the compilation of information on terrestrial ecology, in both coastal and inland environments, for monitoring, research, offset and impact assessment projects.

Whilst not essential, Biodiversity Assessment Method accreditation, skills in GIS or aquatic ecology would be viewed favourably.

These roles require:

  • Appropriate tertiary qualifications in Science, EnvironmentalScience, Environmental Management, Natural Resources or related field.
  • Sound flora and fauna identification skills.
  • Sound report writing and computer skills.
  • Comprehensive interpersonal and relationship building skills.
  • Mid-level Ecologists - preferably a minimum 3+ years ecological or environmental experience.
  • Senior Ecologists - preferably a minimum 5+ years ecological or environmental experience.
