About Us

Local Land Services (LLS) is an Executive Agency within the Department of Regional NSW. It provides quality, customer-focused services to landholders and the across New South Wales. This regionally based organisation brings together a wide range of service and advisory functions including natural resource management agriculture, biosecurity, land management, biodiversity, emergency services, private native forestry and management of Travelling Stock Reserves (TSR).

About the Role

As a Biosecurity Officer, you'll be working within the Saving Native Species Program which aims to enhance and protect threatened ecological communities and threatened species in the South East Ranges. The position will contribute to the delivery of this program and advisory services. Your work will help manage pest animals and plants and protect Travelling Stock Reserves (TSRs).

What You'll Do

  • Work with private and public landholder to control pest plant and animals effecting threatened ecological communities and species. .
  • Impactful programs and advisory pest management services that deliver services under the Saving Native Species Program.
  • Collaborate with customers and stakeholders to deliver pest management programs in the South East Ranges.
  • Support field surveillance, investigations, and post-response recovery initiatives.
  • Stay informed on legislative requirements and policies for pest animal management.
  • Ensure accurate record-keeping to meet reporting standards and support decision-making. .
