The Pilbara Region extends along the northwest coast from Gnaraloo to Cape Keraudren, then inland to the Northern Territory border.

We are currently seeking a Project Officer Capital Works to join our team. Under the general direction of the Capital Works Coordinator:

  • Coordinates works associated with the planning and implementation of allocated operational infrastructure development projects in the Exmouth District.
  • Prepares and coordinates the procurement process and the administration and management of contracts. Liaises with government agencies, designers, architects, engineers and other technical professions to facilitate projects.
  • Provides financial and administrative support for the delivery of allocated projects in the Exmouth District Capital Investment program.

Selection Criteria

  1. Demonstrated knowledge and experience in facility planning and infrastructure development.
  2. Demonstrated ability to prepare project plans and documentation and coordinate approvals to meet statutory and quality requirements.
  3. Demonstrated experience in project and contract management including ability to manage the implementation of works, site supervision and management and troubleshooting projects.
  4. Experience in procurement processes including preparation of tender or quotation documentation, evaluating tenders, contract management and administration and contractor negotiation.
  5. Demonstrated experience in administrative and financial management.
