The National Parks and Wildlife Service, Eyre and Far West Region is seeking an experienced person to take on the Ranger in Charge role based in the Gawler Ranges National Park.

Working within the Far West district, the position leads a small team of rangers delivering park management priorities across the Gawler Ranges National Park, Lake Gairdner National Park, Pinkawillinnie Conservation Park and Lake Gilles Conservation Park.

All parks associated with the Gawler Ranges are co-managed with the Gawler Ranges people, so applicants will be expected to have experience in working and collaborating with Aboriginal communities.

The Ranger in Charge will be required to manage and deliver key projects as well as have a good working knowledge of effective biodiversity and wildlife management practises, cultural heritage management and able to demonstrate partnership and collaboration skills when dealing with departmental staff and the broader community.
