Are you an experienced bush regenerator looking to step into a leadership role?

At Eco Logical Australia (ELA), we empower our people to drive positive environmental change, and we’re excited to offer an opportunity for a passionate and skilled individual to step into a Team Leader role within our Greater Western Sydney team.

About the role

As a Team Leader with ELA, you’ll be at the heart of transformative environmental work, actively restoring urban, infrastructure, and conservation sites across Western Sydney. You’ll be hands-on with weed control, revegetation, and erosion management, guiding your team to turn barren spaces into thriving natural landscapes.

This is a role for someone who loves working outdoors and seeing the fruits of their labour. You’ll work with brushcutters, chainsaws, and backpack sprayers, leading and mentoring a team of individuals who share your passion for bush regeneration.

As a team leader you will liaise with project managers and other team leaders on the effective management of our implementation sites across Sydney, as well as leading and directing daily works and small teams of bush regenerators.

You’ll have the support of our experienced team leaders to help you grow in this rewarding and challenging role. This is a fantastic opportunity to take your bush regeneration expertise to the next level and make a lasting impact on Western Sydney’s natural environment.

What we’re looking for

We need a leader who:

  • Has a deep love for the environment and outdoor work.
  • Holds a Certificate III in Conservation and Ecosystem Management (or equivalent experience).
  • Brings at least 3 years of experience in bush regeneration, with strong skills in native and exotic vegetation identification, weed control techniques, and ecological processes.
  • Is proficient with motorised equipment and chemical application techniques.
  • Demonstrates excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Meets environment, safety, and quality requirements on-site with ease.
  • Possesses a Chainsaw qualification, Chemcert / AQF3, and a current NSW driver’s license.

Why join us?

At ELA, we believe in rewarding our people. Here’s what you can look forward to as a full-time member of our team:

  • Above-Award Salaries: We value your hard work and pay accordingly. We’ll also provide you with a work vehicle.
  • Gender Equality: We are WGEA compliant, ensuring equal pay for equal work.
  • Benefits: Enjoy one extra week of annual leave (5 weeks in total), 12 weeks of gender-neutral paid parental leave, an employee stock purchase program, salary sacrifice into super or for additional annual leave, and wellness initiatives. Plus, you get an extra day off for your birthday!
