Your new role

With the rapid growth of our organisation, GreenCollar is seeking an energetic and skilled Project Technician to join our Operations team on a permanent full-time basis.

Reporting into the Head of Portfolio, the Project Technician will work across Assessment, Reporting, Monitoring and Data analyses to ensure the on-time delivery of project assessments and reports across the range of GreenCollar’s project initiatives in regulatory and voluntary environmental markets.

The location for the role is flexible, with a preference for Sydney. 

Your day to day responsibilities at GreenCollar will include:

  • Analyse project data - quantitative and qualitative from multiple sources using appropriate statistical and analytical techniques to evaluate project performance.
  • Tracking, monitoring and reporting on the status of projects
  • Review and draft offsets reports packages
  • Assist in the compilation of monitoring data and draft monitoring documents for both internal and external stakeholders
  • Carry out data processing and QA/QC with MySQL database ensuring adherence to internal and external quality standards
  • Assist with project verification and audits
  • Field surveying when required, often in remote locations
  • Assist with adapting workflow protocols and procedures in a changing environment to complete projects on time and to budget
  • Assist with research tasks relating to literature reviews, case studies ad alternate methodologies
  • Assist in developing field and remote monitoring methods

Your skills and experience

  • Science background/tertiary degree with a focus on research
  • GIS experience (QGIS,ArcGIS, R or equivalent)
  • An interest in data science and systems automation
  • Programming experience in SQL, R and Python
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite with advanced skills in Excel and Word
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills to clearly articulate findings
  • Ability to manage and prioritise competing data analysis projects
  • Meticulous attention to detail
  • Ability to work away from home during field trips when required
  • Desire to work outdoors in all weather conditions and terrain as required
