About the role

Working at the Mount Field National Park you will use your practical skills to undertake minor construction works, maintain infrastructure, buildings and equipment in the area. You will support the conservation and sustainable use of natural and cultural resources, including the management and appreciation of Aboriginal heritage values on reserved land, in consultation with Aboriginal groups within Tasmania.

Our ideal candidate

  • Is connected to the Tasmanian Aboriginal people and culture and can confirm Aboriginality.
  • Enjoys working outdoors undertaking physical work and being a part of a team.
  • Has a current Workplace Level 2 First Aid Certificate.
  • Has a Certificate II in Conservation and Land Management (or equivalent relevant to the nature of the work).

Mount Field National Park is known as ‘the park for all seasons’ and is one of Tasmania’s oldest and most diverse national parks with spectacular waterfalls and striking alpine environment. The National Park is the perfect location for a range of activities including fishing and hiking, even snow skiing in winter!
