About the role
National Parks and Wildlife Service (NPWS) has a unique opportunity for a Rainforest Guide to work as part of the team and contribute towards the conservation of the natural environment, flora, fauna and Aboriginal heritage.
The South Coast Branch is currently seeking to appoint a Rainforest Guide to implement diverse activities and learning experiences for visitors across various locations to foster community awareness, appreciation and understanding for conserving the state's natural and cultural heritage. This role will focus on practical experience in interpretive and educational guiding or in delivering training or classroom experiences.
About You
Your strong communication skills are paramount to the success of this role. You will be delivering programs to different stakeholders and will need to be able to think on your feet to respond to various questions and situations. Self-management is important for this role as there may be times you will be working alone and will need to ensure safety is a priority meeting the required Work Health Safety standards. Your experience in teaching and education will be highly valued. Demonstrated passion for geography and science, the Australian environment and awareness of NPWS values.
