About the position

The Supervisor Conservation & Pest Management position will be responsible for the delivery of day-to-day services associated with Pest Management consistent with Council’s Pest Management Plan.

This position will work under general direction.

  • The salary range for this position is $70,069.71 - $75,434.70 gross per annum, plus 17.5% annual leave loading and up to 12.65% superannuation.
  • This is a Permanent Full time position based at Clifton, Pittsworth and/or our Principal Depot in Charlton (negotiable).
  • Work a 9 day fortnight with a Rostered Day Off.

How to be successful in this position - Success Criteria

  1. Hold the mandatory qualification(s), training and/or experience, as outlined under the 'Success Criteria' in the Position Description.
  2. Excellent organisational skills with the ability to exercise initiative in the application of established work procedures.
  3. Demonstrated leadership skills in a range of work activities in a specialised area and/or the undertaking of a number of minor works within a total works program.
  4. The ability to supervise staff and to ensure all work is performed to meet safety legislative requirements and responsibilities of Council. This includes complying with all workplace instructions and procedures, using protective equipment provided and not placing any peoples’ safety at risk by your actions.
  5. Demonstrated ability to work cooperatively in a team environment by developing effective working relationships with a variety of stakeholders.
  6. Excellent customer service skills with the ability to provide accurate and timely advice in a helpful and supportive manner.
  7. Demonstrated ability to plan and coordinate activities within a number of minor works.
  8. Sound knowledge of operational methods of the work area.
  9. Working knowledge of statutory requirements relevant to the work area.
  10. The ability to apply computing concepts.
  11. Understanding of and commitment to Council’s Organisational Value and Behaviour of Teamwork.
