Looking to get your hands dirty while making a difference? We’re on the hunt for Casual Environmental Technicians to help with environmental rehabilitation, revegetation, and conservation projects throughout the Perth Metro area and beyond!

What a day in the life of our Environmental Technician look like:

  • Identifying native plant and weeds
  • Weed control either manual or mechanical. 
  • Native seed collection
  • Operating powered equipment such as augers. brush cutters, hedgers, blowers etc.
  • Installation of plants via manual and/or mechanical means.
  • Implementation of daily operations and contribute to operational planning to achieve the objectives of Workpower.
  • Demonstrating a strong customer focus and ensuring public enjoyment and safety while implementing environmental works.
  • Providing a positive contribution to teamwork within Workpower.
  • Participating in personal development activities as required.
  • Ensuring all internal and external OSH requirements are met.
  • Complying with relevant legislative and regulatory requirements.
  • Ability to pass drug and alcohol testing both within Workpower and within client’s worksites

Workpower’s Environmental Services is one of the largest environmental companies within WA and offers a wide range of environmental services associated with revegetation and rehabilitation projects including seedling installation, erosion control, direct seeding, environmental weed control, seed collection and coastal stabilization works. The team has extensive experience in implementing a wide range of environmental management projects throughout WA.

About you;

This job is perfect if you:

  • You have experience in offroad 4WD
  • You have knowledge in Seed processing, cleaning, batching and storage
  • You have chemical weed control experience and relevant licenses
  • You can undertake regional projects 
  • You have good knowledge of plant identification (native and introduced) 
  • You have knowledge of mechanical/powered tools/equipment  

What You'll Need

  • Current “C” Class Drivers Licence
  • Certificate III or IV in Conservation and Land Management.
  • Western Australian Pest Management Technician Licence
  • Construction White Card
  • A Chainsaw Ticket
  • Environmental science or conservation and land management degree/certificate 
  • National Police Clearance
