Midway Limited is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Harvest Operations Coordinator to support our Harvest Manager in executing tactical plans and ensuring exceptional service delivery across our regions.

Role overview: As the Harvest Operations Coordinator, you will assist the Harvest Manager in the effective delivery of harvest tactical plans. You will play a crucial role in providing desktop site assessments and developing associated prescriptions, ensuring compliance with regulatory, customer, certification, and company requirements. The role will have responsibilities across the Otway, Heytesbury, GT and Ballarat regions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Technical Engagement: Collaborate with the Plantations team to standardize site assessment prescriptions and actively record hazards and incidents, supporting investigations as directed by the Harvest, Safety & Environment Managers.
  • Safety and Compliance: Maintain awareness of safety, environment, and certification audits within your regions. Participate in audits and contribute to corrective actions, helping to foster a safe workplace.
  • Scheduling Coordination: Work closely with the Resources Planner and Plantations Contractor Supervisor to ensure timely delivery of site assessment schedules. Keep stakeholders informed of any changes in the harvest schedule.
  • People Management: Mentor Forest Graduates and new harvesting staff, fostering a positive culture and encouraging collaboration among team members and contractors.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Relevant management experience in a forestry or agriculture context (preferred).
  • Strong understanding of management systems, including audit and compliance processes.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proven negotiation skills and ability to work effectively as part of a team.
  • Strong analytical skills, with proficiency in MS Office, particularly Excel
