Our Water Operations team is seeking to appoint a Senior Project Officer - Metering to support the Water Group of the Department of Climate Change, Energy, the Environment and Water. As the Senior Project Officer - Metering, you will manage and coordinate the development, implementation and evaluation of complex non-urban water metering and measurement projects to support the delivery of NSW's non-urban metering and floodplain harvesting measurement policy.

  • Salary ranges from $120,859 to $133,183 + super + leave loading.

About You

To be successful in the role, you will have demonstrated experience in managing and analysing systems and methods for recording, measuring and monitoring non-urban water extraction.

As an experienced project or program manager, you will have a strong track record of delivering projects on time, meeting milestones and standards, and staying within budget. This includes managing multiple, often complex and interconnected projects.

As a confident communicator with effective verbal and written skills, you will have the ability to manage consultations with diverse stakeholders, within agreed timelines, balancing varying expectations, viewpoints and interests.

Experience working in the water industry or natural resources sector is highly desirable.

The successful candidate will be required to have a physical presence in Dubbo/Narrabri and travel for work occasionally within the region.
