Envirotechniques has over 30 years of bushland management, pest control and bushland construction experience in both metropolitan and regional areas of Victoria. This ranges from high conservation bushland and grassland sites through to agricultural applications. If you live in the North-Eastern Metropolitan or South-Eastern Metropolitan Regions of Melbourne and would like a better work/life balance by working near home, or are contemplating a “tree change”, then Envirotechniques is seeking a motivated and enthusiastic individual to work with one of our well-established bushland regeneration crews, predominantly throughout the municipalities of Dandenong/Dandenong Ranges/Yarra Ranges, and the surrounding regions.

Works generally commence on site with minimal option to start from the depot, which is based in Eltham, Victoria.

The Opportunity

Envirotechniques offers above award pay and the opportunity to work in cohesive and rewarding team environments.

  • Casual hourly pay rates currently range from $31.93 for Level 1 Award Classification to $34.65 for Level 3 Award Classification, depending on industry experience and qualifications.
  • After a probationary period, the suitable applicant may be offered a permanent/full time role within the company.

Envirotechniques provides high quality environmental services to a variety of customers across Victoria and is seeking applicants who can meet the following selection criteria:

Key Selection Criteria:

  • Demonstrated interest and capability in natural resource management, conservation and sustainability.
  • Ability to work cohesively in a team environment.
  • A willingness to work in all weather conditions.
  • The capacity to be available 5 days per week.
  • Available for immediate start.
  • Agricultural chemical users permit - ACUP.
  • First Aid-Level 2.
  • Knowledge of indigenous flora.
  • A strong work ethic and ability to self-motivate.

The following skills and qualifications are highly desirable:

  • Tertiary qualification in Environmental Science, Conservation and Land management, Natural resource management or relevant work experience.
  • Experience using Herbicides.
  • Experience managing pest animals i.e. rabbit control.
  • Experience of managing invasive species.
  • A current Victorian manual driver’s licence.
  • Experience using tractors i.e. slashing, mowers, brushcutter, spray rigs and small powered equipment.
  • MR drivers’ licence.
  • Chainsaw operations. 

Applicants must have a high level of physical fitness for:

  • Working outdoors in all weather conditions.
  • Strenuous physical tasks such as brush cutting, knapsack spraying, using hand tools and planting.
