About the Role

As a Landcare Facilitator, you will be instrumental in nurturing local Landcare and environmental volunteer groups/networks in the HRCC regions, empowering them to enhance, protect and restore the land and its natural beauty. Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Strengthening Groups/Networks: Foster resilience and build capacity, enabling groups/networks to work towards sustainability.
  • Resource Access: Facilitate connections to expertise and resources, supporting the planning and development of on-ground projects.
  • Funding Opportunities: Identify and promote grants that bolster environmental health initiatives.
  • Community Engagement: Encourage broad participation in Landcare activities, engaging diverse groups including youth and culturally and linguistically diverse communities.
  • Promote Sustainable Practices: Encourage landowners to adopt best practices for sustainable land management.

About You

We are looking for a passionate individual who ideally will have tertiary qualification/s in community development, natural resource management or similar field, with at least three years' relevant work experience.

Your knowledge in landcare, natural resource management and vast experience working collaboratively with both internal and external stakeholders will see you easily thrive in this role.
