Role Overview
We are seeking an experienced Senior Ecologist to join our growing team in NSW. This role involves leading ecological assessments, guiding junior staff, and managing projects to deliver ecological and environmental services to our clients. Key Responsibilities
- Lead ecological surveys, impact assessments and offset investigations
- Lead the delivery of high-quality technical reports and provide technical review of team deliverables
- Act as Project Manager, from planning through to completion, ensuring budgets and timelines are met
- Provide mentorship and technical guidance to junior ecologists
- Engage with clients and stakeholders to ensure clear communication and high levels of client satisfaction
- Lead the development of bid win strategies and project proposals
- Lead the development of project delivery plans and work with internal project delivery teams to meet project goals
- Commitment to safe work practices
Qualifications and Experience
- Degree in ecology, environmental science, or a related field
- Minimum of 5+ years of experience in ecological consulting
- Strong knowledge of NSW environmental regulations and ecological assessment methodologies
- BAM Accredited, a desire to obtain accreditation, or a comprehensive understanding of the BAM
- Excellent communication and report-writing skills
- Demonstrated experience in project management, client engagement, and team leadership
- Proficiency with relevant software (e.g., GIS tools) and data analysis
