GHD is a leader in delivering innovative solutions for complex Contamination Assessment and Remediation Projects in Tasmania, and we’re on the lookout for Technical Director who will be the driving force behind the development and continued growth of our team’s capabilities and deliver a diverse range of projects throughout the state.

Working with an energetic and high performing team, this position offers a variety of work and will see you involved in: 

  • Providing technical leadership, client management and delivery of contamination projects across Tasmania
  • Being responsible for major project opportunity identification and conversion of key pursuits to projects
  • Leading and assisting in proposal development with peers as required
  • Mentoring and development of junior team members
  • Building effective, trusted relationships with clients and stakeholders

What you will bring to the team 

  • Excellent technical skills and expertise in contamination assessment and remediation
  • An Engineering or Science qualification and a minimum of 15 years of experience relevant experience from within a consulting or regulatory environment
  • Site Contamination Specialist Certification, or willingness to obtain.
  • Outstanding written and oral communication skills, ability to adapt to a variety of audiences, with superior report writing capability
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills and the ability to build trust based, value adding relationships with people across all levels of business
  • Drive, passion and capabilities for targeting and winning work
  • Experience and understanding of the Environment industry in Tasmania as well as connections with clients and authorities
