About the role

National Parks and Wildlife Service has a unique opportunity for a Senior Project Officer to lead the management of the Environmental Trust Accelerating Hawkweed Eradication grant and assist with other NPWS priority weed funding agreements, including budget management and contract management, facilitation of grant milestones / deliverables and associated reporting and development.

About you

Your passion for the environment, coupled with a strong attention to detail and proficiency in project management and procurement will be key to your success in this role. You will possess strong critical thinking and communication skills which allow you to identify risks and make good decisions. You will have strong verbal and written communication skills and a proven ability to work with stakeholders to achieve program and project outcomes whilst exercising sound judgement and discretion.

Essential requirements

  • Appropriate tertiary qualifications and/or equivalent relevant working experience in project management.
  • Willingness and ability to undertake field work.
