Applications are now invited for the 2025 Peter Cullen Trust Leadership Program

The Trust’s highly regarded flagship Program enables the people at the forefront of Australia’s water and environment sector to develop their leadership capabilities, communication skills and ability to drive change.

The Program is designed to have transformative, lasting impact, not just temporary inspiration. With limited numbers of participants, this remarkable journey significantly changes the clarity, confidence, shared vision and strategic capability of each participant, and enhances their capacity to lead within their organisations and communities. Upon graduation, participants enter the Trust’s Fellowship of supportive and influential peers. The PCT Fellows Network now numbers over 300 people, many of whom now occupy influential senior positions. The PCT Fellows Network offers graduates opportunities for ongoing engagement and development, as well as access to invaluable mentoring opportunities.

The Trust is inviting applications from professionals who are actively involved in water and environmental science, systems, policy, advocacy, or management. In addition to opportunities for individuals to be sponsored by their organisations, the Trust has a limited number of scholarships available.

Scholarship applicants are considered in terms of:

  • Quality of the candidate assessed against the selection criteria.
  • Demonstrated commitment to leadership in service of water and the environment.
  • Potential for future impact in service of water and the environment
  • Demographics of candidate (under-represented organisations, locations, social groups)
  • Degree of need for scholarship – for example self-employed persons or small organisations

The 2025 Program will be held across two week-long sessions in Canberra and Melbourne:

  • Session 1: Canberra 2-7 March 2025
  • Session 2: Melbourne 4-8 May 2025
