Grazing Team Leader

Managing and mentoring a team of Field Officers and Project Officers, the successful applicant will work alongside technical specialists, graziers, and service delivery providers to repair landscapes and improve land management in the Burdekin Dry Tropics region.

The Grazing Team Leader will assist the team to understand land management and water quality issues and solutions, and undertake project activities including engaging with landholders, monitoring land condition, and inspiring practice change.

Requirements

• Proven experience managing high-performing teams.
• Demonstrated ability to manage and deliver excellent projects on time and on budget. 
• Proven experience delivering exceptional agricultural extension services that achieved enduring and positive outcomes for graziers and natural resources.
• Strong track record of exhibiting high-quality communication, negotiation and problem solving skills when dealing with external investors, internal team members, industry stakeholders and the general public.
• Excellent knowledge of grazing land management practices, including experience in the field and technical skills.
• Proven ability to develop collaborative partnerships internally and externally in a relevant industry, organisation or project.
