A unique opportunity exists for an Environmental Sustainability Officer to assist with the coordination of sustainability projects under the Zero Emissions Shellharbour Program.

In December 2020, Shellharbour City Council committed to setting a net zero carbon emissions target for Council’s operational emissions by 2035, and for our community emissions by 2050 in line with the NSW Government’s target. Council recognises the impacts of climate change on our local region and its contribution to broader state, national and international emissions reduction targets so that we can prevent catastrophic impacts.

  • Temporary part time, 14 hours per week for a period of 7 months, with the possibility of extension
  • Commencing salary range from $667.07 - $707.90 per week (dependent on qualifications and experience) 
  • 11.5% superannuation
