The Role:

You will be responsible for:

  • Leading the expansion of services and growth into new markets leveraging off our established customer base.
  • Maintaining existing spatial services contracts, coordination of fieldwork and responsibility for timely outputs e.g. including mapping, mining berm analysis, photogrammetry using unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV), Bathymetric/Water monitoring using unmanned surface vessel (USV).
  • Geospatial data analysis utilising GIS software and spatial analysis tools to manipulate, analyse, and visualise geospatial data sets e.g. volumetric analysis and cut fill calculations for civil works; .
  • Coordinating the management of geospatial data obtained from various sources, including but not limited to client data, internal Survey123 field data, ensuring data accuracy, completeness, and quality.
  • Collaborating and maintaining strong relationships with a broader team of professionals to create spatial outputs including high quality mapping for internal and external customers.
  • Identifying GIS industry trends, communicating changes or new technologies, proposing of initiatives for improvements and potential new services; and.
  • Providing leadership for the GIS system and advocate for its efficient use throughout the organisation.

Essential Experience

  • Tertiary qualification in GIS, spatial analysis or equivalent practical experience.
  • At least seven years prior experience in the geospatial industry including engagement with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Strong experience in geospatial data analysis, spatial modelling, and ArcGIS software suite (ESRI suite of products - ArcGIS Pro and ArcGIS Online).
  • Exceptional communication, documentation, interpersonal and presentation skills.
  • Demonstrated time management, data management and organisational skills.
  • Proactive in approach and ability to take initiative to put forward solutions.
  • Passionate about learning, professional development and seeking out new technologies and opportunities; and.
  • Strong commitment to data and document management backed with solid practical experience.

Desirable Experience

  • Experience with ArcGIS Survey123.
  • Working in cloud environment using Microsoft 365 and Sharepoint.
  • Experience with the AutoCAD drafting package.
  • Working in a consulting environment.
  • Experience with data collection, operations and analysis using UAV/USV; and.
  • Field experience in surveying.

You must have experience working in Australia, ideally in a regional area, have a current driver's licence, and be willing to participate in a Work Fit assessment prior to commencing with CQG.
