Envite Environment is a division of Workways Australia, a not-for-profit organisation successfully delivering bush regeneration and ecological restoration services for over 30 years.  In addition, we also engage with communities to deliver training programs through conservation and land management, empowering individuals to protect their local environment, and increase employment opportunities.

Our Townsville team is looking to expand and looking for motivated individuals to join our team.

About the Roles

Location: Townsville, Queensland

Upcoming Positions

  • Reef Assist Environment Supervisor (Casual) (Immediate start!)
  • Conservation Trainee Supervisor (12-month full-time Contract)
  • Community Project Supervisor (Casual)

We are seeking motivated and experienced conservation team Supervisors. The ideal candidates will: have strong leadership skills, be a caring and capable mentor, be able to effectively engage with stakeholders, have keen attention to detail, the ability to schedule and prioritise work and a high level of communication and interpersonal skills.

Essential Experience

  • Minimum 3 years bush regeneration/ ecological restoration experience.
  • Experience leading teams whilst undertaking ecological restoration.
  • Ability to effectively communicate and mentor individuals from all walks of life.
  • Strong stakeholder engagement skills.
  • Physically fit, motivated and capable of working in challenging outdoor environments.
  • Ability to use and maintain tools and equipment.
  • Understanding and ability to follow WHS policies and procedures.
  • Demonstrated ability to drive a strong safety culture.
  • A can-do attitude with the ability to troubleshoot and problem solve.

Essential Qualifications

  • Certificate III in Conservation & Land Management or equivalent.
  • Agricultural Chemicals Distribution Control (ACDC) Licence.
  • Manual Drivers Licence (not negotiable).

Desirable Qualifications

  • Senior First Aid & CPR
  • White Card (Construction)
  • Chainsaw Certificate Level 1 & 2
  • Certificate IV Training and Assessing

Selected candidates are required to provide proof of right to work in Australia and undertake a criminal record check.
