Working in a competitive commercial environment, the role of Environmental Officer with the Soil Conservation Service (SCS) is responsible for the on-site delivery of bushfire mitigation and natural area management programs for clients.

About You:
To be successful you’ll need to be someone who can successfully supervise and deliver natural area management and bushfire mitigation programs. You’ll also need to have strong computer literacy and great communication skills.
Experience and/or knowledge in bush fire mitigation, natural area management and project administration is also desirable – but what’s more important is your ability to supervise others and deliver projects on time, within scope and on budget.
While safety needs to remain your number one priority, our focus is high-quality project delivery, and demonstrated experience in delivering efficiencies whilst maintaining standards will be highly regarded.
A current NSW driver licence combined with the willingness and ability to travel across NSW (including overnight stays) is also required.
Soil Conservation Service runs a wide variety of environmental projects and programs throughout the state, the opportunity to work with other teams and on different projects will be available along with further training as required.

A talent pool will be created from this recruitment action for ongoing and temporary roles of the same standard that become available for filling over the next eighteen months. The successful applicants in these roles may be required to undergo a police check, health assessment and other assessments as required.
